Planned Migration Roadmap

Note: Public communications will continue to provide advance notice ahead of major transition milestones where applicable.
Source Collector Platform Changes
Varibill is modernizing the Source Collector platform and ingestion architecture.
As part of this transition:
- Older Source Collector formats will progressively transition to newer supported standards
- Newer ingestion methods and APIs will become the supported long-term platform direction
- Customers using custom or older integrations may require migration planning activities
Customers using:
- Custom Source Collectors
- Direct ingestion integrations
- Specialized operational workflows
may be contacted directly where migration planning or compatibility validation is required.
Important! Certain older integrations and ingestion methods may require compatibility validation and migration planning before full transition to the modern platform architecture.
Source Collector API Modernization
Older Source Collector ingestion methods are progressively being replaced with a newer REST-based API architecture.
The new API platform supports:
- Improved scalability
- Modern authentication
- Structured payload handling
- Improved validation
- Future extensibility
Additional migration guidance and technical documentation will be published separately, including:
- Configuration guidance
- Authentication guidance
- Payload examples
- API documentation
- Migration assistance material
What Customers Should Expect
Customers can expect:
- Progressive migration communication
- Advance notice before major changes
- Staging/testing opportunities where applicable
- Migration guidance documentation
- Compatibility review where required
- Ongoing support during transition activities
Varibill will continue prioritizing operational continuity throughout the migration process.
Tip: Where applicable, staging and testing opportunities may be made available to assist with migration readiness and compatibility validation.
What Customers May Need To Do
Depending on current platform usage, Varibill may work with customers to:
- Review Source Collector implementations
- Validate integration compatibility
- Assist with migration planning
- Test updated ingestion methods
- Validate workflows within staging environments
- Coordinate operational transition activities
Compatibility Notice
Some older integrations, custom ingestion methods, or legacy operational workflows may require review and migration activities to ensure compatibility with the evolving platform architecture.
Varibill will provide guidance and support for impacted customers throughout the transition process.
Important! Customers using custom Source Collectors, direct ingestion integrations, or specialized workflows may require additional migration coordination activities.
