Overview
To enable Varibill to post invoices and credit notes to your ConnectWise Manage account, you must provide the details below. All items are required.
API Connection Credentials
These are generated in ConnectWise Manage under an API Member (System → Members → API Members). The public and private keys are shown once when created, so record them securely.
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| API Host | The URL of your ConnectWise region, e.g. https://api-eu.myconnectwise.net |
| Company ID | Your ConnectWise company identifier used at login. |
| Public Key | The API Member public key. |
| Private Key | The API Member private key. |
Warning! Public and private keys are treated as sensitive credentials and are stored securely. Do not share them via email. Use a secure credential-sharing service such as Password Pusher to transmit keys to Varibill.
Posting Settings
Varibill references the following settings by name, so each must already exist in your ConnectWise account exactly as named.
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Location Name | The ConnectWise location invoices are posted against. |
| Invoice Template Name | The invoice template to apply (e.g. “Invoice”). |
| Billing Status Name | The billing status to set on posted invoices (e.g. “New”). |
Data Alignment
For invoices to post successfully, the following records must already exist in ConnectWise and match the corresponding values in Varibill.
| ConnectWise Record | Must Match |
|---|---|
| Company | The company identifier must match the billing account number in Varibill. |
| Catalog / Product Items | Each billed product must exist as a catalog item whose identifier matches the account code or inventory code in Varibill. |
