Invoices are queued to be emailed - why are they not being sent?

The email service runs on a scheduled task and is programmed to send emails every few minutes. If after an unexpected amount of time the emails are still not sent, there could be a problem with the SMTP settings, the email service or similar. Your first point of contact here would be your technical department.
